Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's "Heritage Pilgrimage North India"!
On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's
representative to your hotel. DELHI, the capital of kingdoms
and empires is now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating
blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect introduction
to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window to the
kaleidoscope - that is India. Relax for the remaining part of
the day.

Day 02: Delhi
Proceed for a full-day tour of Old & New Delhi after
breakfast.
OLD DELHI - Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor
Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India,
Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama
Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk,
shopping centre of Old Delhi. Enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride
from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would
include a Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan
Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government
Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre
of New Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast drive to the beautiful Pink City- Jaipur.
Check into your pre-booked hotel upon arrival. Evening at
leisure or visit Choki Dhani.

Day 04: Jaipur
In the morning after breakfast visit the "Pink City"
so-called because a great deal of the older part is built
of pink-colored stone. Visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Wind
), a high and intricately carved wall behind which women of
the court were sequestered while watching processions. Also
see the Observatory and the City Palace, which houses an excellent
collection of Rajasthani costumes, miniatures and an armory
of Rajput weapons.

Day 05: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
This morning proceed for onward journey to the "Romantic
City of Taj Mahal"-Agra.
Enroute stop at the walled city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by
Akbar the Great to commemorate the birth of his son. Visit
the red stone mosques, courtyards and the palace where Akbar
once played chess using slave girls as pawns.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel for an overnihgt stay.

Day 06: Agra - Jhansi - Khajuraho
This morning after breakfast city tour of Agra.
Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of
the World The Taj Mahal (closed on friday). The architectural
splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a
vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Moghul Empire,
of which Agra was the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries.
The 16th century Agra Fort, houses a number of exquisite buildings:
the Moti Masjid (pearl mosque), Diwane-I-Aam (palace for general
audience), Diwane-I-Khas (private palace), Anguri Bagh (wine
yard), Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors), and the Musamman Bhurj
(Jasmine Tower) where Shah Jahan died as a prisoner of his
own son.
After the tour of the fort, you will be taken to visit the
magnificent mausoleum, Taj Mahal, erected by Shah Jahan in
memory of his beloved wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Begun in 1631,
20,000 workmen took 22 years to complete it a dream in white
marble which lies in perfect proportion to the elegant garden
of fountains.
Later transfer to Agra Railway station to board train to Jhansi.
On arrival at Jhansi railway station directly drive to Khajuraho.
Enroute visit Orchha.
Orchha which is a medieval city founded by Bundela rulers
with palaces & temples of the 16th & 17th century
which have remarkably withstood the onslaught of time. The
city is picturesquely flanked by the river Betwa. Visit of
the surrounding fortress & local Ram Raja temple.
After lunch (at your own cost) continue drive to Khajuraho.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Khajuraho - Varanasi
After breakfast visit Khajuraho, built by the warrior
Chandela dynasty that rose to power in Central India between
10th & 11th centuries, the 25 odd surving temples display
different facets of life, including the sensual. These erotic
carvings on some panels have given rise to much speculation
since Khajurahoâ's re-discovery by a British officer
in 1838. To preserve it for posterity, Khajuraho has been
declared a World Heritage Site. Visit the eastern & western
group of temples famous for their erotic scultpures.
Later in the afternoon transfer to airport to board flight
for Varanasi. Varanasi was formerly known as Kashi - the city
that illuminates. The religious capital of Hinduism ,Varanasi
is the oldest living city of India & one of the worlds
most ancient. The present name is derived from the fact that
the city is at the confluence of the rivers Varuna & Asi.
Upon arrival at Varanasi, you will be met and transferred
to hotel.

Day 08: Varanasi - Allahabad
After breakfast drive to Allahabad. Allahabad is synonymous
to Sangam. 'Sangam' actually means confluence in Hindi. The
city has been named so because it is situated on the confluence
of Ganges, Yamuna and mythical river Saraswati.Upon arrival,
transfer and check into your hotel.
Visit the temples, ashrams and the SANGAM - the meeting point
of the three rivers. The rivers are GANGA, YAMUNA and SARASWATI.

Day 9: Allahabad - Varanasi
After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing of the city
which includes visit to Allahbad fort, Anand Bhawan, Alfred
Park.
Later drive back to Varanasi in the afternoon. Check into
your hotel for an overnight stay. Spend the night in the holy
city.

Day 10: Varanasi - Delhi
Early morning leave for boat ride (at your own) on the
Scared Ganges to see the bathing Ghats (river bank) &
cremation site. Sunrise on the riverfront, as seen from a
boat, can be a spiritually uplifting sight. Return to hotel
for breakfast. After breakfast proceed on a city tour of Varanasi
- Visit the Bharat Mata temple with a big relief map of India
in Marble, Durga temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Benaras Hindu
University which has an art gallery & the mosque of Moghul
Emperor Aurangzeb. Afternoon, excursion to Ramnagar. Return
by boat in the evening, enroute witness the religious ceremonies
along the banks of river Ganges.
Later in the afternoon transfer to airport to catch flight
for Delhi. Reach Delhi airport and transferred to international
airport (through shuttle service available free of cost at
the airport) to board the flight for your onward journey to
back home with sweet and unforgettable memories of your "Heritage
