Day 1: Chennai
Begain Your Tour
Arrive into Chennai
Welcome to Vardman's "South India Beach Tour". On
arrival in Chennai, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's
representative to your hotel. Relax for some time. Later proceed
on a city tour of Chennai
Visit Fort St. George, San Thome Cathedral and the museum to
see the Art and Bronze Gallery. (Closed on Fridays and Public
holidays). High court, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and
Snake Park..

Day 2: Chennai - Kancheepuram - Mamallapuram
This morning after breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram enroute
visit Kanchipuram.
Kanchipuram
Visit Kanchipuram Temples, Kailasanatha Temple and Vaikunda
Perumal Temple that exhibit a fine example of ancient architecture.
Cotinue drive to Mahabilipuram.
Upon arrival at Mahabalipuram check into your hotel.
The remaining Shore Temple is a World Heritage Monument .
After lunch you are free to explore at your leisure or enjoy
the beach.

Day 3: Mamallapuram - Chennai - Overnight Train
This morning after breakfast proceed on a Sightseeing
of the 7th century pallavan monuments. Relax on the beach.
Later in the evening transfer to Chennai Egmore railway station
to board overnight train for Kodaikanal.

Day 4: Kodaikanal
Arrive Kodai Road Railway Station in the early hours.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your prebokked
hotel by our representative. Rest of the day free for leisure
activities. You can enjoy boating in the lake in the evening.

Day 5: Kodaikanal
Visit various tourist attractions during your Kodaikanal
tour at leisure and enjoy boating and fishing at Kodaikanal
Lake. Visit Cocker's Walk, Golf Links, Green Valley View,
Pillar Rocks, Silver Cascade Falls, Bear Shola Falls &
the Lake etc.

Day 6: Kodaikanal - Thekkady
On the day 6of your tour drive to Thekkady. On arrival,
check in your hotel. Relax for a while and later visit the
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 7: Thekkady
Morning, after breakfast boating through Periyar lake
- Wildlife sanctuary. You can visit the rare species of plants
and animals.
Afternoon visit spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon,
pepper, coffee, tea estates etc. on your way back to the hotel,
you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant
spices.

Day 8: Thekkady - Kottayam/Kumarakom - Cochin
This morning after drive to Kottayam/Kumarakom. On arrival,
check into your Houseboat. The overnight cruise takes you
through Kumarakom/Kottayam backwaters allowing you to enjoy
serene surroundings en route. Breakfast, lunch and dinner
served on board. Enjoy the backwaters of Kerala by getting
a glimpse of the village life from a close quarter. Enjoy
the sunset and stay overnight on the houseboat. It will definitely
be a unique and unforgettable experience for your lifetime.

Day 9: Cochin - Kovalam
The houseboat comes to halt at Cochin. Disembark the houseboat
after breakfast and drive to Kovalam. On arrival, check into
your hotel. Relax for rest of the day.

Day 10: Kovalam
This morning after breakfast proceed on a city tour of
Trivandrum.
Museum complex, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Science & Technology
museum, Veli Tourist village, Aakulam boat club, Shangmugham
Beach etc.
Later in the evening drive back to Kovalam to stay overnight
in the hotel.

Day 11: Kovalam - Trivandrum - Chennai
After breakfast transfer to Trivandrum airport to catch
flight for your onward journey to back home with pleasant memories
of "South India Beach Tour" escorted by Vardhman Vacations
