Begin your tour.
Arrive into Chennai.
Welcome to Vardhman's 'Religious Tours India' ! On arrival in
Chennai, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative
to your hotel. Relax for rest of the day.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 02 - Chennai (Madras)
This morning after breakfast proceed on a city tour of
Chennai
Visit the Museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery. Drive
through the Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort museum,
Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and snake park.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 03 - Chennai (Madras) - Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram
- Trichy
Full day tour of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. The former
was the main port of Pallava dynasty & has exquisite rock-cut
monuments, monolithic structures and bas reliefs. It is also
a beach resort. Kanchipuram is famed for it's hand - woven
cottons and kanjivaram silk.
Evening transfer to Chennai railway station to board overnight
train for Trichy.

Day 04 - Trichy
Morning arrive Trichy railway station. On arrival at the
sttaion your will be met and transfereed to your hotel by
our representative. Realx for a while and in the afternoon
proceed for the sightseeing of Trichy visiting the ancient
temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi - 434 steps cut out into
the rock side and interspersed with shrines, lead to the temple,
yet another flight leads to the temple of Lord Shiva. The
ascend is climaxed by magnificient view of the sacred Kaveri
river. Visit Srirangam a massive temple dedicated to Lord
Vishnu which contains within its walls a bazzar.

Day 05 - Trichy - Tanjore - Madurai
Morning drive to Madurai enroute visiting the famous 9th
century Chola Temple Brihodeswara at Tanjore. Check in at
hotel.

Day 06 - Madurai
City tour of Madurai.
Visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort
of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams (rising high above
the surrounding country side).
Later visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - a gracious building
in the Indo Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work on
its domes and arches. Afternoon free.

Day 07 - Madurai - Periyar
This morning you drive to Periyar and upon arrival transfer
to hotel.
Boat cruise on the lake of the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Periyar-an ariticial lake or reservoir created by a dam on
Periyar River is in the heart of the Wildlife sanctuary. Wild
Elephants, Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even tigers come to
shores of the lake to drink. Return to hotel for breakfast.
Thereafter drive through the winding "Ghats" kind
with prosperous tea plantations & then arrive the fascinating
countryside of low-lying palms and paddy field to Kumarakom.
Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater willage on the shores of
the enchanting Vembanad Lake, crises crossed with meandering
waterways and ancient cottages.

Day 08 - Periyar - Cochin
Morning drive to Cochin. Check in at hotel. Rest of the
day at leisure

Day 09 - Cochin
After breakfast, proceed on the sightseeing trip of Cochin.
Visit Fort Cochin, Spice Markets, Antique Shopping, Jewish
Synagogue and Chinese Fishing nets. Known as the Queen of
the Arabian Sea it is the heart of God's Own Country and also
the center of business and commercial establishments. Return
to the hotel by noon and in the evening you are joined with
other tourists for the sunset tour of Cochin by boat. Experience
the serenity of the calm waters. Enjoy the sights and sounds
of this beautiful and bustling city.

Day 10 - Cochin - Bangalore - Mysore
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for Bangalore.
On arrival at the sttaion your will be met and transferred
to Mysore to your hotel by our representative. Relax for rest
of the day.

Day 11 - Mysore
Morning full day excursion of Belur and Halebid. The Chenna
Kesava Temple of Belur built 900 years ago is an exquisite
example of Hoysala art. Halebid's 12th century Hoysaleswara
and Kedareswara temple are masterpieces of hindu art.

Day 12 - Mysore -Channai
Morning tour of Mysore. Evening Transfer to Mysore railway
station to catch overnight train for Chennai.

Day 13 - Mysore - Chennai (Madras)
Arrive at Chennai & transfer to Airport to board flight
